Class Descriptions

All Levels Yoga

Mixed level Hatha Yoga class. As they are ready, students progress to a more advanced poses, breathing and meditation techniques. This is a systematic method of introducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

Aaron teaches his class with flowing poses into other poses in a gentle and kind way for your spirit, mind, and body. Your health, happiness, and relaxation is top priority!

Karen teachers her class I take you through different asanas piece by piece at a slow pace reminding you to be mindful of each breath and movement making any adjustments to your needs. Remember: " Our asanas may not be perfect but as long as we are going inside we are practicing yoga," a quote from my teacher Swami Dharmakeerti.

Beginner Yoga

This class is suitable for all levels. We begin with a guided relaxation, moving in a slow flow through basic yoga postures and gentle stretching. We will cover proper alignment, breathing techniques, and relaxation experiences.

Candleight Flow

An all levels, gently heated flowing yoga class designed to cultivate balance, flexibility, and strength in body and mind. Students will be guided inward while exploring yoga postures and movement guided by breath. A yoga “reboot” by candlelight, this class will leave students feeling complete, relaxed, and rejuvenated.

Courageous Warrior

In the practice of yoga a warrior is a spiritual warrior who bravely does battle with the universal enemy, self-ignorance, also know as avidya, which is the ultimate source of all our suffering. It is not that we lack fear, but with courage we can show up in the face of fear.

We will begin our time together with a meditation practice to help us navigate uncharted waters. In this group setting we will learn ways to work with our own limiting behaviors to enable us to live a more mindful, authentic, compassionate and brave life.

Expect to show up fully present the best way that you can, share with what you feel your heart wants expressed, work with discomfort to promote compassionate growth and healing.

Please bring a journal.

Donation Based Yoga Class

General yoga class that will help you to relax and reduce stress through gentle stretches and breathing exercises to help you get through the rest of the week. This is a donation based class and is not free. Donation simply means that you give what you can. (60 - 75 min)

Flow Yoga

This is a flow class for all levels. Detailed instruction of alignment and intelligent sequencing will be given. Synchronizing breath with movement clears out blocked energy so this class is aimed to lift your spirits and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Gentle Stretch Yoga

For students of all ages who have physical conditions that may limit their ability to participate in strenuous exercise.

Healing Yoga

Gentle yoga specifically aimed to alleviate depression, anxiety, panic, stress, chronic pain and addictive tendencies. Yoga to overcome trauma, addiction and stress through bilateral movement and intelligent sequencing. This class is truly accessible to everybody. Feel free to either stay seated in a chair or get up and move. No experience necessary. Beginners and advanced students welcome.

Techniques to learn to contact the sources of peace and tranquility that lie within.

Mindful Morning Meditation: A Lesson on a Course in Miracles

"Buddha was asked, "What have you gained from meditation?" He replied "Nothing!" However, let me tell you what I have lost: anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, fear of old age and death."" This quote from Buddha teaches not only that meditation has been used for centuries as a spiritual practice but also that it is a powerful tool for transformation and healing. A Course in Miracles would agree. There are many lessons devoted to the practice of focusing the mind and releasing interference or blocks to making contact with the deep inner truth and love.

Mindful Yoga

This class is based upon Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) yoga session. Mindfulness has been shown to reduce stress in the body and mind. We practice working where we are, in each moment. Gentle poses are practiced and focus on the where the awareness is placed moment by moment. Strengthening the awareness is just like strengthening a muscle, we need to practice. Many people have said this class has helped them to reduce stress and to have better sleep.

Relax & Rest

This class is suitable for all levels. It will begin with some very gentle movement where we will then move into a practice of Yoga Nidra which is a deep state of relaxation where you are guided on a journey to relax the mental state of awareness which does not have an opportunity to do so in our fast paced society. Come allow the body and mind to ease into a state of restful awareness. We will end with a guided meditation.

Stress Free Yoga

This class is suitable for all levels of practitioners including beginners and First Time Yogis. This class begins with a guided relaxation and continues with a slow flow. Synchronizing breath with movement clears out blocked energy so this class is aimed to lift your spirits and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Awaken your spirit and open your heart with this morning yoga practice.

Surya Namaskara

According to Bihar Yoga, "Surya Namaskara, or salutation to the sun, is an important yogic practice which dates back to the ancient vedic period when the sun was worshipped as a powerful symbol of spiritual consciousness. From its esoteric origins Surya Namaskara has developed into a practice of twelve postures which weave together to generate prana (subtle energy), aiming towards the purification and rejuvenation of the practitioner." This class is suitable for all levels.

Slow Flow Yoga

Slow flow connects postures with the breath. Moving at a slower pace to build strength, balance and control of the body and the mind.

All ages, genders and levels welcome, no experience necessary. Wear comfortable loose clothes or yoga clothes. We dance barefoot further connecting to our ancestral roots.

Yoga Nidra

Yogic Sleep. It is a state of conscious Deep Sleep. In Meditation, you remain in the Waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise and go on. However, in Yoga Nidra, you leave the Waking state, go past the Dreaming state, and go to Deep Sleep, yet remain awake. A class consists of gentle yoga asanas followed by a guided Yoga Nidra.

Yoga for Relaxation and Stress Reduction

This class is suitable for all levels but very beneficial for those that are new to yoga or want to relieve stress and anxiety. It is a gentle class that will ease you through asanas (postures) and a guided relaxation at the end.
